The North Central London (NCL) Integrating Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation (IPMO) programme is an NHS England & NHS Improvement initiative that brings together pharmacy, medicines optimisation and medicines safety within the Integrated Care System (ICS) developments. You can read more information on the ICS developments and why the NHS is changing within the first three IPMO blogs [LINK HERE].
In short, pharmacy and medicines are an essential support function in the NHS, and thus pharmacy must be embedded into every level of the ICS. IPMO will provide a mechanism to ensure collaboration across the NCL pharmacy network, which will support an integrated and collaborative approach to health and social care provision.
The IPMO space on the NCL MON website provides a centralised place, where we will share project updates and communications, allowing you to learn more about IPMO and the work going on across the three working domains of Pharmacy Workforce, Medicines Safety and Value.
